"I am delighted to leave a portion of my financial legacy to The Hunger Project. While I pray that hunger has been ended sustainably long before my death, I trust that the phenomenal work of The Hunger Project in calling forth the human spirit and enhancing life in so many ways continues for decades to come."

Eileen Epperson explains how she approaches her role as helping people live their life in the best way possible, she spoke on dealing with every-day common annoyances as stumbling blocks for many. Noting that one’s point of view tends to shape their perception of a person or situation and that finding options that will allow changing that perception can help reduce or eliminate being annoyed.

Alumnae and

the Greater Good

The Brearley Community

To be fully alive and human, a person must find or invent her life mission, her calling, her purpose; there are many ways to say this. That calling will always end up, no mat- ter how circuitous the route, being in service to others in some way, whether as a writer, lawyer, custodian, parent, teacher, artist or practitioner of any field, known or yet to be invented. The greater good is that which is larger than our individual selves and which matters very much to us and to which we willingly offer our energy, talent and time. The amazing fact is that when we are serving, we discover who we are. It is ubuntu: “I am because you are (or I am because we are).”or decades to come."
